Functional Vision Eye Exam
Our eyes are a part of the brain. An injury to the brain from a stroke, car accident, sports injury or a blow to the head can adversely affect our vision. Common visual symptoms after a concussion include sensitivity to light, difficulty concentrating when trying to read, double vision, skipping lines and words, or shifting gaze from close such as a phone or screen then looking far and vice versa.
Other symptoms that might not always be associated with vision include dizziness, vertigo, difficulty being in crowded or busy environments such as grocery stores or the mall, scrolling text on phone or computer screens, retaining what was just read, being able to make eye contact while listening, or staring off into space.
If you have concerns about visual symptoms after a head injury or fall contact us to schedule a Functional Neuro-Optometric vision exam.
