Vision Therapy
Vision Therapy, or VT, is an individualized, supervised, treatment program designed to correct visual-motor and/or perceptual-cognitive deficiencies.
The practice of Dr. Kavita Malhotra, OD, FOVDR (FCOVD) is devoted to providing comprehensive functional vision exams and vision therapy to treat the following conditions:
Learning-related Vision Problems, including visual problems related to ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, letter reversals, reading and reading comprehension problems, Non-Verbal Learning Disability (NLD), etc.
Eye Teaming Binocular Vision and Focusing Disorders
Tracking Problems including loss of place when reading
Strabismus (eye turns) and Amblyopia or Lazy Eye

Computer Vision Syndrome

Visual processing
Visual-motor skills and endurance are developed through the use of specialized computer and optical devices, including therapeutic lenses, prisms, and filters. During the final stages of therapy, the patient's newly acquired visual skills are reinforced and made automatic through repetition and by integration with executive function, motor, and cognitive skills.
